On November 8, Pinggao Group Co., Ltd. held the completion ceremony for "400kV/220kV/110kV Kozienice Substation Expansion and Reconstruction Project" in Kozienice, Poland. More than 100 participants from the Economic Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy in Poland, the Polish State Grid Corporation, the municipal government of Kozienice, more than 10 large Chinese companies such as BOC, ICBC, HSBC and Shandong Electrician, and more than 20 multinational enterprises such as Siemens and GE attended the ceremony.
The Kozienice Project is the first power transmission and transformation project based on Engineering Procurement Construction completed by Chinese enterprises in the EU, which has the great significance to deepen the cooperation between China and the EU in the field of power production and to further develop the European power engineering market, and is another achievement made by the Company in serving and promoting the construction of "the Belt and Road" initiative with practical actions.
The Kozienice Project is the third EPC project based on Engineering Procurement Construction signed by Pinggao Group in Poland. It was officially signed and started on May 9, 2014, including the expansion of 110kV switching station by one bay, the dismantling of 400kV switching station by 9 bays to the expansion (renovation) by 18 new bays. The Kozienice substation not only carries half of the power supply in Warsaw, the Capital of Poland, but also is an important hub substation of the Polish State Grid Corporation. After the project is completed, it will connect the expansion units of the adjacent Kozienice power plant, Europe's largest thermal power plant, which becomes the main power output switch of the power plant.
Xu Xiaofeng, Economic Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Poland, Ms Ma┅gorzata Bebelska, Deputy Mayor of Kozienice, and Mr.Janusz Sowinski, Project Director of Polish State Grid Corporation delivered speeches respectively. Xu Xiaofeng spoke highly of the significance and role of the completion of Kozienice Project, and affirmed Pinggao's business philosophy of not afraid of difficulties and playing steadily; in addition, he praised Pinggao Group for demonstrating the strength and good corporate images of Chinese enterprises to Polish and European people with practical actions.
InMr.Janusz Sowinski's speech, he expressed his congratulations to Pinggao Group on its successful implementation of the Kozienice project, he said that the Kozienice project is the third and but the first completed project that the Polish State Grid cooperated with Pinggao Group, which is a good start. In addition, he expressed his desire that Pinggao Group will make persistent efforts to complete each project with good quality and quantity, and he also expressed his expectation for more cooperation between two sides in the future.
Ms Ma┅gorzatab Bebelska thanked the Polish State Grid Corporation and Pinggao Group for their contribution to the power construction in Kozienice, and said that Kozienice project not only makes power supply in Kozienice more stable, but also makes the Polish people aware of the rigor and strength of Chinese companies.
