Pinggao Group adheres to independent innovation, mastering R&D and manufacturing technologies of AC/DC, whole series, and voltage of switch gears. Nearly 80 new products passed the national appraisal, of which more than 20 reached the international leading level. With more than 1,000 patents, PG won more than 60 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, participated in setting more than 50 national and industry standards.

Pinggao Group continues to introduce advanced processing equipment and scientifically improve its manufacturing capabilities. It has 20 specialized assembly workshops, with an annual production capability of 5,000 bays of GIS, 13,000 sets of circuit breakers, 7,000 sets of disconnectors and 110,000 sets of switchgear cabinets. PG also has the ability to manufacture core parts such as vacuum interrupter, insulator manufacturing, conductor silver plating, enclosure manufacturing and coating, precision machining, rubber sealing products and composite insulators.

Pinggao Group insists on building high-quality equipment and serving the construction of power grid. The products are widely used in China's key power projects. PG has provided power transmission & distribution equipments for China's first 550kV high voltage AC transmission project, the first 750kV UHV AC transmission project, the first intelligent demonstration substation of the highest voltage level-750kV Yanan Substation,  the first EHV AC demonstration project "southeastern Shanxi - Nanyang - Jingmen", "Anhui-to-east Power Transfer Project", "Jin Su DC Transmission Line" and other national key projects. Qinghai-Tibet Network project and Shandong Mouping substation project PG involved in were respectively awarded “National Gold Award for Quality Engineering” and “China Luban Award for Construction Engineering”.
